Cardiovascular system Magnetic resonance image and cine-MRI

The magnetic resonance image is a non-invasive exam that uses a magnetic field that, by measuring changes in the body cells, provides high-quality images. It lasts about 30 to 60 minutes. The magnetic resonance serves to identify the condition of the cardiac muscle, congenital cardiopathies, and structures such as the valves (that help the blood to circulate inside the heart and other arteries) and the aorta (largest artery in the body). Besides static images, this exam also provides dynamic moving images, called as cine-MRI.

It must be avoided. In pregnant females, in persons presenting pacemakers and cardiac defibrillators, in some stent types, and when there are other metal types implanted.
